A Guide to Guest Bathrooms

Gaining general appeal is the key to a great guest ensuite

As we reach the half-way point of this year’s season of The Block, it’s clear how much the teams have learned. Now experienced renovators, they are all much more organised and clear with their design style. We know there was some interpersonal drama, but for us, it’s all about the build.

This week was the contestant’s third bathroom (although it was the first for House 1’s Maddy and Charlotte) and we loved the results. Everyone finished their rooms and there were some standout spaces.

We agreed with the judges’ decision of awarding the win to Maddy and Charlotte. We loved their muted palette, which really reflects the move towards textural elements and natural
tones that we are seeing in new builds throughout the country. The judges even coined a new term for the girls’ style: “Classic Simplicity”. Can’t wait to see it all come together!
