This week on The Block, we headed outside as the teams completed their backyards, pool and landscaping.
There were some great designs to be seen and but of course, our favourite was House 1, Maddy and Charlotte, with their use of the PGH Bricks East Hampton bricks from the Manhattan range on their pizza oven area.
There were 444 sq metres of garden to tackle, and we think they did a great job – especially with the addition of the curves in various landscape elements. It was a great space for entertaining. “What an oasis,” said judge Shaynna Blaze “It’s three backyards in one.”
Winners from House 2, Courtney and Grant, delivered an elevated space that perfectly tied into their interior design “This indoor-outdoor flow is what people pay for.” Marty said.
The judges loved the 5 entertaining areas, size of the pool, outdoor shower, hidden outdoor retreat, fire pit, and the addition of a pizza oven.
