WINNERS Leah and Ash

Welcome back to The Block on CSR Dwelling! We loved the first episode of the new season and are excited to see what the teams can do with these cute homes.  First aid officer Leah and builder Ash Milton from QLD won the first challenge – the house decider – with their charming take on a kids bedroom. We loved the cute double bunks and the amazing colour scheme.

Kyle and Leslie

Firefighter Kyle and teaching aide Leslie had a Mandalorian theme from Star Wars on The Block. Their room design was a lot of fun, but a little lacking on the execution. However, we know it’s a steep learning curve from here and we thought it was a great start from the WA duo and we thought the wallpaper feature wall was a fabulous touch.

Kristy and Brett

Project manager Kristy and safety officer Brett went with a winter wonderland theme on The Block, drawing on the Frozen inspiration supplied by Scotty Cam. The pretty pastel palette was charming. A great start and it shows lots of potential for the SA couple.

Steph and Gian

On The Block, architect Steph and start-up worker Gian Ottavio from NSW missed the mark on their Buzz Lightyear-themed kids’ room. While we loved the neutral palette in theory, we agree that the room needed more colour and fun to encourage play. Steph’s room layout was clever, however, and we can’t wait to see what she comes up with as the season progresses.

Eliza and Liberty

Newbie renovators and sisters Eliza and Liberty struggled with their theme of Guardians of the Galaxy on The Block this week, but the final product was impressive. We also loved their enthusiasm and positive attitude when it came to learning new skills. That’s what all renovators need!
