It was all about street appeal this week on The Block as the teams scrambled to finish their facades and front yards. There were so many highlights from the completed homes, but here are our picks:

Natural Stone Cladding

PGH Stone’s Natural Fieldstone cladding the fencing and chimney on House 4, delivering just the right touch of Mid-Century style to the finished façade. Stone cladding is great for a mixed material façade, adding texture and warmth.

Statement Bricks for every style

PGH Brick’s Statement Brick Fences – creating stylish and elegant first impressions, from the textured Character range – Straw used by House 5 to the high end luxury smooth finish of the European Morada Range – Ceniza used by House 1

Staircases that transform spaces

Spectacular staircases to link levels in a house. Staircases add both functionality and bring light throughout the interior spaces, so it makes sense to turn them into an important design element. An elegant, curved staircase (using CSR Gyprock Flexible) is not only practical, but a beautifully elegant solution.

Turn heads

Turntable driveways – perfect for homes on busy streets, this can make it easier for homeowners to navigate tight turns and allow them to enter the traffic facing forward

New and old

Working with the original brick to create a showstopping façade. We loved the mix of materials chosen that honour the original (from timber to stone and metal), while bringing them into the modern era.
