WINNERS – House 2
Leah and Ash

Winners on @theblock this week, Leah and Ash, created a luxurious space that won praise from the judges, with some spectacular herringbone marble tiles, a soft grey palette with Art Deco touches. We loved the skylight, which brought light into the windowless room. The judges agree. “It’s all elegant,” says Shaynna.

Kyle and Leslie

With the smallest room in @theblock history, Kyle and Leslie showed that big doesn’t necessary mean better. Once again, the couple incorporated curves into their powder room design, which we loved. For us, the finger tiles were the standout – the perfect choice for the soft forms they chose.

Kristy and Brett

Just pipped at the post because of a gnome, Kristy and Brett created a beautiful and luxurious bathroom on @theblock this week with Venetian plaster walls, terrazzo floor and lovely timber vanity. We thought the custom-made fluted glass shower screen was perfect – and added a lot of character. “Calm, measured and luxe,” said Shaynna.

Steph and Gian

It was all about luxurious touches and textural layers again for Steph and Gian on @theblock with their spectacular custom-sized stone vanity. We would have liked a little more storage, ourselves, but the judges loved it, especially the consistency of their design. “Super classy and contemporary,” said Darren Palmer.

Eliza and Liberty

Sisters Eliza and Liberty added in a controversial element to their bathroom (the largest bathroom on @theblock this week). It was a moss wall feature – apparently a nod to the biophilia trend. The judges hated it and we’re not sure about it either. We are all for natural products, but … We did like their vanity, however, and their execution was on point.
